Backstory: One paint associate just quit, one was fired, and two are on vacation. Needless to say, paint is a little understaffed right now. Yesterday morning there wasn't anyone in the department until 1pm. I was trying my best to cover it, but my product knowledge in paint is spotty at best. I have become a firm believer that some people in this world wake up every morning with the single goal of trying to make as many people as miserable as they are. Those kind of people I just smile and go out of the way to be extra nice too. Can't give them the satisfaction of winning.

You can be talking to a customer and they get between you and the customer you're helping and demand you stop what you're doing and help them.
